Eytys x Rhys Coren Sneaker


Swedish based footwear label Eytys have enjoyed great success over a very short time having only launched the brand last year and this collaboration with Rhys Coren adds to their growing image. Talented multi media artist Rhys Coren whose work is inspired by late 80’s, early 90’s football goalkeeper kit designs and the Acid House scene from the same period. Eytys have turned to Coren because his work evokes bitter sweet memories of candied and colorful Kellog’s cereals, of being ten years old and glued to the TV without a care in the world and the outcome is one to appreciate. Converse x Hancock Vulcanised Articles First String Jack Purcell


Converse First String and Hancock have come together to release to a trio of Jack Purcell’s through Hancock’s Vulcanised Articles. Making their way in Blazing Yellow, Chateau Gray, and Dark Navy, the Jack Purcell’s arrive comprised of a waterproof upper in similar fashion to those of brands jackets and outerwear. Each pair features a waterproof siphon elastic bonded rubber outer shell and imprinted lining, embossed with metal Hancock 1843 eyelets and embroidered HVA logos on respective heel pull tabs. Ideal for those unannounced Spring showers ahead, the Converse First String x Hancock VA will be available on March 15th in-store and online at Up There.

Monitaly Spring/Summer 2014 Collection Lookbook


Monitaly (the brand founded by Yuketen‘s Yuki Matsuda) is preparing for Summer, with it’s new surf-and-skate themed lookbook for the season. Given the summer vibrations on show, it’s not surprising to see floral prints, executed across a range of pieces in a vibrant color palette, making up a large part of the collection. Next to the florals, we’re also introduced to unique patterns, lightweight checks, and bright tonal pieces, which come together on vintage-cut garms to create a super fresh representation of Matsuda’s anticipation for Summer — and a nice throwback to the brand’s inspiration, West Coast surfing. As with all Monitaly collections, it’s all in the details.
